My name is Michelle McDonald. I am the Reading Coach for grades K-5 and I am part of the intervention team. My job is to support struggling readers with small group instruction. I enjoy working with students and staff and love the atmosphere here at Woodrow Wilson Academy. My parents moved to Colorado in 1955 and I was raised in Arvada and attended Jeffco Schools. Colorado is a wonderful state to live in and I appreciate its beauty.

Upon graduating from Arvada West High School, I went on to get my Bachelor of Science Degree from B.Y.U. In 1997, I received my Master’s degree from Lesley University. I have been in education now for 45 years, with 34 of those years serving as a classroom teacher. Teaching has always been a passion of mine, because I love working with students and being surrounded by fellow, dedicated, caring educators.
